Momordica (Bitter Melon / Karela) Herbal Extraction Plant
- Raw Material Selection: Fresh, mature Momordica charantia fruits are sourced from certified organic farms. The selection focuses on fruit ripeness and bitterness level to ensure maximum concentration of bioactive compounds like charantin, vicine, and polypeptide-p.
- Cleaning and Preparation: Fruits are thoroughly washed with clean water and sanitized to remove dust, pesticides, and other surface contaminants.
- Extraction Process: The powdered material is subjected to hydro-alcoholic extraction using ethanol and water (in optimized ratios) in stainless steel extraction tanks. The temperature is maintained between 60–70°C for a few hours, ensuring complete solubilization of key actives.
- Filtration and Concentration: The mixture is filtered through fine mesh and multi-stage filters to remove all solid residues, resulting in a clean and potent liquid extract.
- Standardization: The final extract is standardized to Charantin content (e.g., 10%) or customized as per client requirements. The product can also be tailored for anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant applications.
- Packaging and Storage: Packed in food-grade, air-tight HDPE drums or aluminum foil bags with nitrogen flushing to prevent oxidation. Stored in cool, dry, and dark environments.
