Mango Bark Herbal Extraction Plant – Polyphenols & Tannins
- Raw Material Selection: Bark is collected from mature Mangifera indica (mango) trees, preferably during dry seasons for maximum active concentration. Only disease-free and pesticide-free bark is selected for extraction.
- Cleaning and Preparation: The harvested bark is cleaned using pressurized water jets to remove dirt, lichens, and external residues. Manual sorting ensures uniformity and eliminates damaged pieces.
- Extraction Process: A hydroalcoholic solvent system (ethanol + water) is used for extracting bioactive compounds such as polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids, and mangiferin. The mixture is processed in stainless steel extractors at moderate temperatures (45°C–60°C) for several hours with continuous agitation.
- Filtration and Concentration: The extract is filtered through multi-layer mesh and centrifuges to remove fibrous material and yield a clear solution.
- Standardization: The extract is standardized to contain polyphenols or tannins using validated UV or HPLC methods, ensuring product consistency and efficacy.
- Packaging and Storage: The final extract is packed in double-sealed, food-grade containers with nitrogen flushing (if needed) and stored in cool, dry areas to prevent moisture absorption and oxidation.
